Nature's gift, our responsibility
Green corridors provide environmental, social and economic benefits that improve the health and wellbeing of our community. From increasing biodiversity and tree canopy coverage to reducing the urban heat islands, to providing active and passive recreation opportunities.
Our green corridors are key to enhancing public health and fostering community connections.
As our urban areas continue to grow and housing density increases, the provision of quality green corridors that connect to key regional facilities, cycle and public transport networks ensures Council provides a more livable community with improved access, quality open space and is environmentally sustainable.
