Services for learning English

A team of volunteers meet with students to provide one-on-one English literacy tutoring in the Library.

There is currently a waitlist but if you would like to register your interest, please complete our enquiry form and we'll contact you with more information.

English as a second language group classes in reading, writing and conversational English. These are held in the Community Learning Centre during the school term.

Conversation groups are a great way to meet new people and practice your English. These are fun and relaxed groups led by an English Literacy volunteer.

A volunteer service providing free English language lessons for displaced Ukrainians and refugees.

These classes are designed to help adapt students to an English speaking environment and to teach English skills to assist in everyday life.

Classes are held weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 3pm to 4.30pm and are at a beginner/intermediate level.

Заняття проводить австралійський викладач-волонтер із досвідом викладанням іноземним студентам.

Про заняття

Уроки розроблені з метою допомогти студентам адаптуватися до англомовного середовища та сформувати розмовні навички, необхідні у повсякденному житті.

Уроки проходять по вівторках, з 15:00 до 16:30 та підходять для дорослих з володінням англійською на рівні beginner/intermediate (початковий та вище початкового рівень).

The library is offering ESL Homework Club for students with English as a second or additional language to come and receive weekly support with their homework.

Facilitated by an experienced teaching volunteer our live, online classes will help with confidence in reading, writing and understanding English.
