Illegal dumping and littering
Dumping household or commercial materials on a road, verge or park is illegal and fines of up to $5,000 may apply.
Cleaning up illegal dumping costs Council more than $100,000 per year and ultimately impacts our residents and community, through:
- higher rates to pay for associated collection and processing costs
- lower property values
- environmental harm
- increased fire risk.
