Road and Cycle Safety Centre

The Road and Cycle Safety Centre makes learning how to ride a bicycle fun for children of all ages.
The enclosed open space has a mini-road network which gives children a real-life experience as they learn how to ride a bicycle in a safe and controlled environment.
- The track is open for free public use from 9am to 7pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and public holidays with traffic lights activated between 9am to 5pm.
- Please note that on these days toilets are not accessible. - Bring your own bikes and helmets.
Have your child’s next birthday party at the Road and Cycle Safety Centre.
Available for bookings Saturdays only.
Suitable for children aged 5 to 13 years.
The Centre offers OSHC sessions that teach road safety skills to children, including:
- workable traffic signals
- pedestrian crossings
- recognising traffic signs and line marking
- roundabouts and gutters.
Each session includes:
- a volunteer/s to assist with the session
- bikes available in sizes 12 and 16 (and balance bikes) and 20, 22 and 24, or bring your own
- helmets are available or bring your own.
Participants are required to wear enclosed shoes and comfortable clothing for cycling.
Sessions are 2 hours in duration and tailored to suit age of attendees. Each session starts with a group discussion on road safety, followed by a track orientation before practising safe cycling skills. Up to 30 children per session.
Cost is $15 per child - no deposit required. Bookings essential. Please provide a minimum of 6 weeks notice.

Suitable for children aged 1 to 4 years old.
The Centre offers exclusive group sessions to pre-school aged children that teach road safety skills, including:
- workable traffic signals
- pedestrian crossings
- recognising traffic signs and line marking
- roundabouts and gutters.
Minimal safety information will be delivered, as this session is more about children gaining confidence riding bikes in a safe, enclosed space and so parents/carers can keep a close eye on children - who have so much fun.
These sessions are particularly designed for playgroups, family day carers, parent groups etc. Sessions are 1.5 hours in duration.
- Bring your own snacks and drinks. We have a kitchenette facility to heat bottles up/boil the kettle. Up to 30 children per session.
- Bring your own bikes and helmets. Bikes and helmets are available to use from the Centre, however we cannot guarantee enough appropriate sizes therefore we recommend you bring your own. Please enquire when you book if you require use of Centre bikes.

Children will get approximately 60 minutes of riding time (times may vary depending on how long it takes to fit all children with appropriate sized bikes and helmets). Up to 30 children per session.
Cost: $8.00 per student. No deposit required for these sessions as your school will be invoiced. Bookings essential. Please provide a minimum of 6 weeks notice.
