Steventon Ward update

As your local ward councillors, we are your voice at council.

Ratepayer dollars make up most of Council’s budget.

We are aware of cost-of-living pressures so continue to advocate to get the basics right and avoid hefty rate rises.

The recent installation of a pedestrian refuge on North East Road in the historic township is a much-needed safety addition.

It’s good to see something in place after years of raising concerns.

Marsha Reserve in Banksia Park has been refreshed following installation of a pumping station for the Sustainable Sewers program – including a new pump track, shelter and improved footpaths – all funded by the state government.

Congratulations to all who ran in the recent state government election.

Many projects in the Council area would not be possible without the support, funding and advocacy of local MPs.

Particular congratulations to successfully elected MPs: Olivia Savvas, Blair Boyer, Rhiannon Pearce and Matthew Marozzi who each represent parts of Steventon Ward.
