Love all for local tennis with upgrade of courts
Local tennis players are set to benefit from upgraded facilities at Modbury Tennis Club, following completion of court upgrades.
Tea Tree Gully Council invested $500,000 into the project, which included the resurfacing of four courts, upgrading shelters and installing new fencing.
Mayor Marijka Ryan said the improvements would help support the club’s continued growth and strengthen community connection for many years to come.
“Modbury Tennis Club is known not only for competition, but also for the sense of connection it creates for people of all ages and abilities,” Mayor Ryan said.
With 146 members across social, junior and senior teams, the club is one of the largest tennis clubs in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs.
Thank you to councillors, staff, club members and contractor, TigerTurf Australia, for helping deliver this project.
