New children's area opened in the Tea Tree Gully Library
Published on Tuesday, 7 July 2026
The new children's area at the Tea Tree Gully Library is now open!
The magical design was inspired by the life cycle of the butterfly.
Some highlights include the butterfly story chair, the interchangeable diorama window, and a tree with a tunnel for kids to crawl through – which may have a surprise inside.
Also, we've relabelled the children's non-fiction books with easy to find genres. Now kids can discover their new favourite reads in a whole new way.
The upgraded area inspires children to learn, be creative and stay curious. We'll continue to host an endless number of fun and educational activities for kids, showing that our library is a community hub for all ages.
