Golden Grove naturopath Melisa Byrne says her one-on-one sessions with our Small Business Advisory Service has given her a clearer direction on how to expand her small business.

“It gave me a picture on how I can develop and grow my business outside of in-person consultations,” Ms Byrne said.

“Iʼm now in the process of developing those income streams and then I can add them to my offerings on my website.”

Ms Byrne said one of the challenges of owning a small business was that “you can’t be good at everything”.

“People have their strength areas, but the idea of seeing an advisor is getting help on those areas that you're not strong at,” she said.

“To draw on that expert advice is very valuable.”

Residents and business owners in the City of Tea Tree Gully can have up to three free hours of support a year with our experienced business advisors.

“The sessions have given me clarity, they’ve given me steps to take,” Ms Byrne said.

“If I hadn't seen an advisor, I might still feel a little stuck, but I'm not feeling stuck. I'm feeling excited by the prospect of how I can grow and how I can help more people.

“I can drive forward with my business knowing that I can grow it in a different way.”
