The Youth Leadership Program is for young people aged 15–22 who live, study or work in the City of Tea Tree Gully.

The program helps you:

• boost your confidence
• build your self-esteem
• connect with other young people.

You’ll learn useful skills for school, work and everyday life - plus meet new friends who share your interests and have lots of fun along the way.

The program was designed by young people, for young people, with input from past participants. You’ll get chances to join council events, and even plan and run one yourself.

Everyone is welcome!  There are no special requirements. No matter your background or experience, you can join and be part of the program.

You’ll explore leadership in everyday life and in bigger roles.

As part of the program, you’ll represent young people in the city. You’ll have chances to share your ideas on decisions that affect young people, attend council events and even plan and run one yourself.

You will:

• hear from inspiring guest speakers and experts
• get support from council staff and past participants who will mentor you
• enjoy fun games, activities, and of course, snacks each week
• go on exciting excursions to try new things and step out of your comfort zone
• plan and host the Youth Achievement Awards, celebrating young people in the community
• volunteer at events.

Celebrate your success at a Graduation Ceremony.

Sessions run every Tuesday from 4pm to 6.30pm in Term 2 and Term 3.
