Pedare Ward update

After rescheduling a couple of times, we were pleased to hold our much-anticipated Pedare Ward Neighbourhood Chat on Saturday 13 June at Golden Fields. Again the weather was not kind to us. Rain bucketed down overnight and in the early hours that morning.

John Adams, President of SADNA at Atlantis Drive, Golden Grove, stepped in with an invitation to share his undercover facilities at the club and our TTG Men’s Shed volunteers pulled their trailer in and cooked hot bacon and egg rolls for all who braved the elements.

Council staff quickly set up information booths with brochures, programs and initiatives on offer. Elected Members heard some valuable feedback from our residents. We thank everyone for making the morning possible.

The start of winter provided much‑needed rainfall with local reservoirs being replenished. Unfortunately, strong wind gusts and local flooding kept Council staff and the State Emergency Service busy with calls. Thank you to everyone concerned for keeping our community safe.
