Water Gully Ward update

It’s all systems go for the Elliston Reserve project which starts shortly. This will address the inequalities of open space between the north and south of the city. The plans include a tree house inspired playspace, a skate plaza and snake run, BMX tracks and jumps, a 3-on-3 basketball and netball court and more. A lot of positive feedback was received through the extensive community consultation.

Hope Valley Bowling Club is receiving $100,000 from Council towards a new verandah, and the federal government has funded $300k towards the club’s bathrooms. Coulls Reserve will receive a playground upgrade in early 2027.

Design work has commenced on proposed upgrades to the Turramurra Recreation Centre, including a refresh of the facade, entry and foyer, new internal cladding in the sports courts, and accessibility improvements.

External funding is being sought for the building upgrades and a potential community hub extension.
