Blake Lawrenson has resigned from his role as a City of Tree Gully councillor.

He was elected as a Water Gully Ward councillor in 2022. Cr Marina Champion also represents the ward, which covers Dernancourt and Highbury, as well as part of Hope Valley and Paracombe.

A supplementary election will not be needed as the vacancy falls within 12 months of the November 2026 local government elections.

Council thanks Cr Lawrenson for his years of service to the community and wishes him all the best for the future.
