Chemicals, paint and other hazardous items
Unwanted household chemicals and paint can be safely disposed of at the following collection centres:
Campbelltown Works Depot
6 Newton Road, Campbelltown
Monday to Friday 8am to 12pm.
Closed weekends and public holidays.
NAWMA Resource Recovery Centre
Gate 3, Bellchambers Road, Edinburgh North
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Weekends 9am to 3pm.
Closed New Year's Day, Good Friday, ANZAC Day and Christmas Day.
What's accepted
- Acids and alkalis
- Batteries (NiCad, lithium, mercury)
- Brake fluids and coolants
- Cleaning products
- Engine oil and other oil
- Gardening chemicals - including pesticides, insecticides, rodenticides, herbicides
- Light globes
- LPG bottles
- Liquid paints - oil and water-based paint, up to 100 litres
- Other household chemicals
- Photographic chemicals
- Poisons
- Pool chemicals
- Solvents - including paint thinners, turpentine
- Varnishes and stains
Please note, industrial and commercial chemicals from businesses is not accepted.
